How to Install Four point contact ball bearings-Flange structure bearings

1. Before installation, ensure the mounting surface is level and free of debris.

1. Check and remove burrs.

2. Clean the surface, bolt holes, and lubrication holes.

3. Ensure the surface is dry.

4. Ensure the connection surface is level.

5. Shaft and hole dimensions; end face flatness and parallelism; radial and axial perpendicularity.

6. If the surface is uneven or has raised recesses, these must be corrected before installing the bearing.

2. When installing the bolts, apply preload symmetrically at 180 degrees to avoid uneven preload that could cause bearing misalignment. Apply preload in at least three steps; avoid applying preload all at once to ensure that every bolt receives the preload evenly.

3. After installation, be sure to check the runout with a dial indicator before operation. If there is a significant difference between high and low points, recheck the gap between the surface and the mating surface.

4. Before installing a new bearing, ensure it is re-greased to ensure sufficient lubrication. Re-grease after 200 hours of continuous operation or testing during the first MTE-210 (operating state). Check and re-grease every 100 hours thereafter. This significantly increases the bearing's service life.

5. Analysis of the cause of this bearing failure: Long-term use without maintenance caused severe heating between the raceways and rolling elements. Because our bearings are subject to high loads, both in terms of speed and load, long-term lack of maintenance and unchecked lubrication conditions caused internal heating, leading to premature bearing failure.

6. Grease: EP2 lithium-based grease. Bolts: Minimum 10.9 high-strength.
